Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
Salary: $1,115.79 - $1,782.32 biweekly
Department: City Auditor
ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: A Non rotating 40 hour work week Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Schedules Audit Committee meetings, posts agendas, prepares agenda packets for Audit Committee meetings, attends Audit Committee meetings, take minutes of meetings and transcribes meeting minutes. Supports department staff by scheduling appointments, training's, coordinating meetings, maintaining calendar, make travel arrangements, process travel requests and travel authorizations. Assists in the preparation of the department budget, reviews and monitors departmental expenditures, reviews procurement card purchases. Responsible for tracking leave on a daily basis for department staff, submit documentation to payroll, and maintain all leave request forms. Responsible for keeping track of office assets. Maintains department records in accordance with the City's Records Management Program. Performs administrative duties for the department including filing, distributing mail, answering telephones and taking messages. Manages daily office operations, responds to Council and citizen requests and concerns. Maintains office supplies and prepares purchase orders when needed. Maintain records for investigations performed by department. Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required. May be asked to assist the auditors with some basic auditing procedures such as performing research, conducting surveys, distributing and summarizing questionnaires, type-write up notes.
Work requires broad knowledge in a general profession or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four (4) years of college resulting in a Bachelors degree and one (1) year of related work experience; or Associates degree with three (3) years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and related work experience. A valid drivers license is required at time of application and at time of hire.
Basis of Rating
Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.
Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.
