Job Description/Requirements

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Sport management, Sports Administration, Business, Accounting or a related field. Three years experience managing budgets and financial affairs. Experience working in an intercollegiate athletics setting.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Job Duties: The primary responsibility of the Assistant Director of Athletics is to manage financial matters in the Department of Athletics in order to assure compliance with University and NCAA policies. This includes: preparing and monitoring all athletics budgets and approving all purchases, invoices, and expense vouchers for athletics accounts.

Assisting and advising coaches and staff in discharging their responsibilities, including financial, within fiscal policy constraints and reviewing monthly budget reports with coaches and staff as necessary.

Supervise billing and collecting of all accounts receivable, including those for advertising and sponsorship sales.

Work with Office of Athletic Compliance to ensure all purchases and travel by coaches and staff is permissible per NCAA rules and regulations.

Act as liaison with various entities on campus including Associate VP for Financial Affairs, Comptroller's, Accounting, and Budget Office. Work closely with staff accountant for athletic budget issues including NCAA annual report, yearly NCAA audit, and other required reports.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
