Job Description/Requirements

Qualifications: Master's degree in Kinesiology, Recreational Sports Administration, Student Personnel or related field. Two (2) years experience in a recreational sports programming environment. Ability to frequently lift and/or move twenty pounds.

Preferred Qualifications: NIRSA CRSS or RCRSP, CPR/First Aid Instructor Certification. Any of the following certification(s): Outdoor Program Certification, American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor Certification, Lifeguard Instructor Certification by American Red Cross, Personal Training Certification by nationally recognized organization, Group Fitness Instructor Certification by nationally recognized organization.

Job Duties: Administer and develop core program areas of outdoor and special events.

Hire, schedule, train, supervise, and evaluate employees.

Oversee and develop Recreational Sports program areas with coordinators

Administer department's marketing program

Administer budget, purchase equipment, handle cash

Write, evaluate, implement and support policies

Oversee risk management for programs and activities associated with the position.

Other duties as assigned.
