Job Description/Requirements

Operate equipment as needed. Assist in off-loading trucks. Work requires physically demanding manual labor work. Receive and interpret information for processing of thermal waste. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide assistance with off loading, processing hazardous waste.
• Maintain accurate inventory of metal bearing catalyst and/or waste.
• Ensures efficient operation of assigned equipment, in compliance with site’s health & safety program, with much attention to safety of self and others.
• Ensures that materials, labor, equipment, supplies, and other requirements are in order at an optimum time and cost.
• Operate equipment to treat and handle waste
• General maintenance of equipment as per supervisors instructions
• Report equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Maintain equipment clean, inside and out.
• Keep record of equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Receipt, handling, recovery, disposal and recycling of hazardous waste

Perform other, related duties as assigned.
1. Train other employees.
2. Participate in site clean-up.
3. Other assigned duties, not listed in the job description, will be within the general occupational series and responsibility level typically associated with the employee’s class of work.

To perform the essential functions of the job, the employee is required to operate all equipment on site as needed: forklifts, man lift, bobcat, wheel loaders, vacuum truck, roll off truck, vacuum systems, packaging equipment and site pick-ups.

Experience in the environmental field is a plus.
